As the UK’s Vegan population now includes over 3.5 million people (up from 540,000 people in 2016)*, the demand for vegans to be catered for in the hospitality sector is growing rapidly.
Leading the way in vegan hospitality, eco-boutique hotel the Green House Hotel in Bournemouth is not content with a substantial á la carte vegan menu, the Victorian villa will now be offering the first ever Vegan Wedding Package.
The luxury wedding venue has become increasingly popular with vegans due to its ethical sourcing and commitments to sustainability along with its extensive source of vegan suppliers. General manager of the hotel, Olivia O’Sullivan explains: “We’d noticed such an increase in vegan weddings and had become so well-known among our vegan suppliers that we decided to create this Vegan Wedding Package.”
The new Vegan Wedding Package at the Green house Hotel will be catered for by head chef, Andy Hilton, in the hotel’s two-rosette award-winning restaurant, Arbor.
Hilton creates a menu especially for your day based around the time of year and what’s in season. Seasonal produce is sourced locally, and everything is freshly prepared, even the bread is baked on site. The vegan wedding cakes are supplied by Lucie Loves to Bake which specialises in creating luxury bespoke dairy free, eggless and vegan wedding cakes.
For the best hair and make-up on the big day, the hotel works with Greener Beauty which offers vegan hair and make-up products, cruelty-free and made without toxic chemicals.

The Vegan Wedding Package even covers footwear through its collaboration with designer Charlotte Mills whose vegan shoe collection gives ethical, stylish, fashion forward brides a range to chose from, including the popular ‘Meghan Shoe’.
With up to 90% of cut flowers being imported into the UK, the Green House Hotel prides itself on sourcing organic, Fairtrade, UK blooms for weddings which come from Bournemouth-based florist, Hillview Flowers and Events.
