Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, which own London’s The Savoy, is inviting guests to taste what happens when elite mixologists from around the world come together to craft cocktails.
‘Classics. Perfected’ is Fairmont’s new global cocktail menu, a selection of cocktails created by newly appointed Fairmont Tastemakers.
“When people meet for a drink at one of our hotels – from The American Bar at The Savoy to The Plaza in New York – they expect the crispest gin and tonic and a truly perfect Manhattan,” said Jane Mackie, vice president of the Fairmont Brand.
“With this new menu that is precisely what they will get – along with quality ice and bartender’s advice when appropriate. The Classics. Perfected. menu was curated by our top bartenders who were charged with helping us to discover and perfect the best old and new classics.”
Selected for their individual talent and mastery of cocktail methodology, the Fairmont Tastemakers for the two-year programme include Grant Sceney from Fairmont Pacific Rim; Nader Chabaane from Fairmont Le Château Frontenac; Erik Lorincz from The Savoy, A Fairmont Managed Hotel; and Tom Hogan from Fair- mont Singapore.
The menu features three sections: the most requested classics that guests know and love; revived classics to entice cocktail enthusiasts; and the ‘neats’.
The six classic cocktails include: the Sparkling Collins Royale, Pomegranate Paloma, Right Word, Perfect Martinez, VSOP Boulevardier and Fairmont Old-Fashioned.
Global spirits included in the programme, chosen for their quality and craftsmanship, include: Remy Martin VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac, Belvedere Vodka, Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label, The Botanist Islay Dry Gin, Bombay Sapphire, Gentleman Jack Rare Tennessee Whiskey, Woodford Reserve Distillers Select, Cointreau, Mount Gay Rum, Casamigos Tequila and Louis XIII
